The Polish Standardization Day was celebrated for the sixth time on May the 20th. Established in 2010, this day is the occasion to honour all persons and entities associated with standardization and to promote standardization system and its advantages.
On 6 and 7 May 2015 in PKN’s Headquarters in Warsaw a seminar concerning cooperation with countries from Eastern Partnership in the field of standardization was held. The participants of the seminar were representatives of standards bodies and other institutions
Dr Bernhard Thies – President-elect of CENELEC was PKN’s guest on 31st of March and 1st of April 2015. Dr Thies will officially take over the presidency in CENELEC on 1st of January 2016. PKN’s guest was welcomed by Tomasz Schweitzer – President of PKN, Mrs Jolanta Kochańska – Vice-President in charge of standardization and Ewa Zielińska – Director of Foreign Relations Department and Member of CENELEC Board. The main topic of the meeting were the future of CENELEC and activities which Dr Thies plans to undertake during his term of office.
