Seminar at the Ministry of Economy

On 7th December a seminar ‘Access of Polish goods and services to the market of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan’ was held at the Ministry of Economy. The event was organized by the Polish Ministry of Economy, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN). Seminar agenda included needs of Polish entrepreneurs interested in investing in this area. Participants were informed about new rules of trade of goods, customs regulations as well as about planned solutions for the following years. Detailed information for particular industries (veterinary regulations, phytosanitary legislation) also was  included.

The seminar was opened by Mr. Andrzej Dycha, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy who  emphasized  importance of the relations with partners from Eastern countries, especially during economic slowdown in Europe.

Mr. Valery Koreshkov, Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission for Technical Regulation in his speech referred to basic aspects of integration processes and technical regulation within the limits of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

The Polish Committee for Standardization was represented by its President, Mr. Tomasz Schweitzer, and Mr. Zygmunt Niechoda, Corporate Advisor. They discussed voluntary standardization system and described PKN experience within the sphere of partnership with members of the Customs Union.

Considering the number of participants and their interest in the seminars, the organizers are planning next events popularizing trade relations of the Polish entrepreneurs with East partners.
