The 40th GA of ISO
The 40th General Assembly of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) took place in Berlin in mid-September. The main topic was the need to adapt to the changing world and to be open to change. The new technologies require new ideas and more flexible standardization processes – this is the reason for which the world economy and standards organizations will remain innovative and forward-looking.
As it happens ISO celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, which coincides with DIN’s (German Institute for Standardization) 100th anniversary. On this occasion, during the General Assembly, the representative of PKN honoured both institutions with commemorative plaques containing best wishes for further motivation, inspiration and success in popularizing standardization.
