The „IEC 1906 Award”

The IEC 1906 Award is presented to experts who, through their knowledge, consistency, and commitment, contribute to the development of electrotechnical standardization at the international level.

This year, this distinction was awarded to:

• Anna Wrońska – expert in IEC/TC 20 Electric cables, leader of the Task Force in TC 20/WG 17, whose contribution to maintaining the current cable standards and ensuring their precise refinement have a real impact on the quality and safety of the power infrastructure.
• Rafał Burzyński – expert in IEC/TC 121 Switchgear and controlgear, co-author of the IEC TS 61641 Technical Specification, which sets in order the requirements for low-voltage switchgear and improves user safety.
