PKN ON LABS EXPO 2026

The fourth edition of the LABS EXPO Laboratory Equipment and Technology Fair took place in Poznań on March 18–19, 2026. The event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge and to network between representatives of business and scientific communities. The fair showcased the offerings of distributors and manufacturers, as well as the activities of scientific institutions, research centers and certification bodies.

Demonstrations of modern technological solutions were combined with an intensive, substantive conference program. The Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN) together with the Central Office of Measures (GUM) and Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA) organized a conference entitled „Accreditation, metrology and standardization in laboratories”. During the conference, the speakers from PKN, GUM and PCA addressed issues such as new directions in regulatory changes, the effectiveness of management systems, statistical inference regarding sample homogeneity and the role of standardization and its products and services in the laboratory sector.

The conference was officially opened by Ewa Zielińska – President of PKN and representatives of the Central Office of Measures (GUM) and the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA). They welcomed the participants and wished them fruitful discussions.

PKN speakers: Marta Krejpowicz – Director of the Standardization Department and Wojciech Mazurek – Deputy Director of the External Relations Department discussed:

• the path from an idea to a standard;
• who can have a real influence on its content;
• how standards translate into daily work of laboratories;
• which standardization products and services are used in the laboratory sector.
